I love Tuesdays...

Tuesday is quickly becoming one of my favorite days of the week.
Zachary doesn't have preschool and there generally isn't any after school activities.
The highlight for Zachary was going to a local toy store and spending some of his birthday money.

As I mentioned, we generally don't have any after school activities on Tuesdays, but this week Gavin had a soccer game.

Gabby wore green all day to support her brother's team.
Here she is playing on one of her birthday presents.
(Thanks Vanessa!)

As you can see below, she's getting quite comfortable on it and is even doing stunts!

Dispelling Rumors

I just arrived home from a mom's night out and began reading my emails from today. I was quite amused by Lisa who was very concerned regarding my whereabouts.

I'm going to share a short excerpt from her email...
"You haven't been blogging much lately. Have you picked up yet another hobby? Are you on another vacation? Are you pregnant again and therefore too tired to blog? Please email me or post an entry or I'm going to assume the latter."

So here I am to dispel any rumors that she may start on her blog. I'm certainly not pregnant, I do wish I was on a vacation, and no.... I haven't picked up any new hobbies.
Life has been incredibly busy here since school started and since my days start earlier than they did before I'm often too tired by evening.
So here's a photo recap of the last several days.

Gabby smiling and saying cheese for Mommy.

On Tuesday morning Vanessa and I went to do a little shopping. We took the kids to the play area for a bit to keep it fun for them too.

They were so good that afterwards we took them back to let them run around in their bathing suits.

On Wednesday I took Gabby to her early learning program...

...and then we ran some errands. It's so amazing how easy it is to get things done with only one.

Here's Gabby playing favorites....
(I love Daddy)

(I love Mommy)

Thursday we had MOPS followed by a playdate at the park.

Friday I tried to clean while Gabby followed behind making messes.
Her favorite thing to do is getting into the pantry and cabinets.
I've had to lock up a few of them.
I guess Tupperware is more fun than toys.

Saturday is "Soccer day."
Gavin is to the far left. Look at the intensity in his face. (So cute!)

After the game, Gavin and Leah celebrated in their normal fashion.

Gabby was looking for Amanda, but found Clarissa and decided to just sit down next to her.

Amanda was off at a horseshow (without kids.)
Hmmm? Maybe she needs an assistant next time.

and then there was Sam's Club on Sunday.
Is it possible to leave that store without spending at least $100?

and can you believe the Christmas stuff is out already?
I think Gabby is ready for Santa!

So that was our week recap....
nothing incredibly exciting or out of the ordinary, but the weather was beautiful and it was nice spending time together.

Zachary's Birthday Celebration (Day 2)

Since Zachary's birthday fell on the weekend we celebrated with his friends at school on Monday.
When I arrived for his class party, I found him sitting between Vivi and Laura.
When both of them got up to wash their hands another little girl tried to take their seats.
I guess my little Zachary is a popular guy.... (on his birthday anyway!)

Zachary wasn't in the mood to participate in my photo shoot, but I did manage to get a few shots.

Gabby enjoyed visiting Zach's class. Here she is with Vivi.
Next year she'll be attending the class next door.

After preschool some of his friends came over for a pizza party.
I think I could have just brought out a container of icing and all the kids would have been happy.
After lunch Zachary continued opening the presents that he hadn't already opened!
He's such a sneaky little guy!
I meant to train him on what to say, but he did pretty well and issued some thank yous without much coaching.
Although we all see each other quite a bit, it was still nice having an excuse to have lunch together.
Left to right: Robin, Vanessa, Amanda N. and Amanda P.

I think this picture of Vivi is quite adorable.
She's looking up at a balloon and seems mesmorized.
Amanda N. (on the left) hadn't been to our house before.... (or at least I thought).
However, it turns out that she spent quite a bit of time here growing up.
She's friends with the previous owners and apparently all the kids liked hanging out here.
I can only hope that trend continues as my kids grow up.
I just love this picture of Landon and Zach. They were very into this firetruck and getting them to look up at the same time wasn't easy.
Gabby woke up just minutes before the party ended.
Just in time to see Tucker.

Happy Anniversary Amanda and Joe!!!

You are such a wonderful couple.
Wishing you many years of health and happiness!

Happy 4th Birthday, Zachary

We gave Zachary a choice of how he wanted to spend his birthday. He waivered between going to the beach, bowling, or Build-a Bear.

and as you can see, he chose Build-a-Bear.

I think they were a little overwhelmed with all the clothing options. I must admit that I can relate to that feeling when I go to dress Gabby each morning.
These were the final selections:
Batman T-Rex, A soccer playing Alligator, and a Hello Kitty Bear

After our trip to Build-a-Bear we went to the play area. The boys couldn't stay still long enough for a picture, but I snapped this photo of Gabby watching them as she had a snack.
When we got home the kids ran around with their new animals friends
Again, the boys couldn't slow down for a picture, but Gabby happily stopped to say "cheese."
That's one of her new words and as an avid picture taking mommy that makes me very proud!

Finally it was time for a little dessert. Zachary prefers cupcakes so that's exactly what he got.
As you can see Gabby was very happy about the idea as well.
More pictures of Zachary will follow tomorrow from his Pizza Party and Playdate with friends.

An amazing "My Little Pony" Birthday Party...

Today we went to Leah's "My Little Pony" Birthday Party.
The theme was very fun and the setting and weather were just perfect.
Since Leah has real horses all the kids were able to take a few rides.

Here's the birthday Girl!!!
Gavin and Zachary were very surprised. This is the third year they've been to Leah's party, but in prior years they only visited the horses and fed them some hay.
Amanda accessorized her horses with pink hair extentions and spray on designs just like "My Little Pony."
I just loved the green birthday balloon.... talk about staying with the theme!
They had so much fun on the horses and couldn't wait for their next turn.
Amanda and her Dad (Don) led all the rides.

We were almost able to get a family picture here, but Gavin was busy chasing the birthday girl.
He thinks Leah is the "most fun girl in the world."

Gabby didn't actually ride, but she enjoyed sitting on the horse and it made for a very cute picture.
Gabby found a cookie on the table and was so afraid we were going to take it away from her. I think the yummy food was the highlight of the party for her.

Thank you, Cassidy for helping entertain the kids.

Happy Birthday, Leah!
Thanks for inviting us to your party.
